Growing up in America, I wanted to open a cafe. It was a dream of mine since I was a child. Problem was, I didn't have a fresh idea to open up a cafe in America.
Being Korean-American, I could have opened up a Korean-themed cafe, but you see a lot of those in the US already. I wanted to be creative and come up with a "not-so-popular" themed cafe.
Something you rarely see in America. After a full year of going in circles, I gave up. I gave up my dream of opening a cafe in America, BUT I didn't give up my dream of opening a cafe
entirely. I decided to visit Korea and see what they have in store for me.
As I was walking through the streets of Seoul, I rarely saw any Western-themed cafes. Most,if not all, didn't have any of my favorite foods! Foods such as Italian pasta salad, Mashed Potatoes, or Baked Ziti! This was my time to shine. I quickly moved to Korea and opened up Berry Bun Cafe. I wanted to share my taste bud with the people of Korea. I want Berry Bun to be the best cafe in Korea. Most of all, I wanted the people of Korea to have a taste of America. To run away from the usual. Opening up Berry Bun made me feel like a princess because I can officially say, "my dream came true". |

Why is there a dorm?
I only hire workers who are committed to becoming a "live-in employee". Live-in employees are employees who dorm together in a dormitory directing above the cafe.
I started this because I wanted my employees to share a friendly bond. I believe that is the only way my employees will ever have fun at work.
